AKP’li Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan’ın, CHP Genel Başkanı Özgür Özel ile yaptığı görüşme sonrası, Hazine ve Maliye Bakanı Mehmet Şimşek’in önerisiyle CHP’nin gölge kabinesinde Hazine ve Maliye Bakanlığı’ndan sorumlu Genel Başkan Yardımcısı Yalçın Karatepe ile görüşmesi kararlaştırıldı. Görüşme 24 Haziran Pazartesi günü gerçekleşecek.

As Minimum Wage and Pension Increases
Yalçın Karatepe, emphasizing that the government stated they would not increase the minimum wage and limit the increase in pension allowances, plans to express their opposition to impoverishing economic policies. He stated that they will demand a minimum wage increase of at least the inflation rate difference starting from July.
Tax Justice Proposal
Yalçın Karatepe will explain the tax justice proposal, emphasizing the need for significant tax increases, particularly in corporate taxes, as two-thirds of tax revenue currently comes from indirect taxes, which he considers unfair.
Inadequacy of Agricultural Supports
Regarding agricultural supports such as tea and cereal prices, Karatepe will convey that the announced supports are insufficient. He will point out that the existing laws stipulate that agricultural supports cannot be less than 1% of the national income, a regulation that has not been adhered to during the AKP era.
Issues Regarding TÜİK Data, PPP Projects, and Sovereign Wealth Fund
Karatepe will address the controversial TÜİK data, stating that PPP projects place a significant burden on the public sector. He will also express criticism of the Sovereign Wealth Fund, suggesting that it should be gradually phased out.
